North Wales, PA – October 20, 2010: Benetrends, Inc., the nation’s leader in retirement plan solutions and funding for small business, geared up to celebrate National Save for Retirement Week with an on-site celebration and awareness event.
The resolution to make October 17-23, 2010, a time to remind Americans of the importance of retirement saving was sponsored by U.S. Representatives Allyson Schwartz (PA-13) and Sam Johnson (TX-03) and passed unanimously by Congress in late July.
“During this economic decline, we’ve met thousands of Americans who have been displaced from their jobs due to corporate downsizing,” says Leonard Fischer, Esquire, Founder and CEO of Benetrends, Inc. “Many of these individuals don’t realize that by using a properly designed and operated retirement plan they can invest a portion of their retirement funds in their own companies. This can provide the capital they need for a fresh start in business, and the opportunity to continue to save for their futures – and the future of those they can employ. During a time when many Americans may be cashing in their retirement plans due to lack of income, our services provide a viable option for individuals to keep working, create jobs and continue saving.”
While retirement and pension plan benefits have traditionally been associated with big business, Benetrends, Inc. has helped thousands of entrepreneurs establish company sponsored retirement plans that not only provide a savings vehicle for employees, but can also be used to provide funding for the business as well. On October 20, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Benetrends hosted a reception at its North Wales Pennsylvania office to help educate local small business owners on the value and importance of small business retirement plans to owners and employees alike.
Says Fischer, “Our firm’s mission springs from the very issues that National Save for Retirement Week raises. Saving for retirement is a key component to overall financial health. Individuals who own or are employed by small business should have the same focus on – and opportunities to benefit from – qualified retirement plans as those who own or work for larger corporations. National Save for Retirement Week is an opportunity for our clients to assess their retirement goals and work with our firm to make the optimal contributions to their plans to achieve those goals.”
